Pharmagraphics Guy, the pharmaceutical packaging specialist based in Cork, Ireland, has recently invested in the new Vijuk MV-2005 outsert folding machine, the latest addition to its extensive range of specialist folding equipment.
This new state of the art technology will enable Pharmagraphics Guy to produce multi-paneled, glued leaflets comprising larger lightweight paper sheets folded into as many as 150 squares, creating more space for information on pharmaceutical product outserts.
These expanded formats are to satisfy the FDA’s requirements to print larger font sizes, plain English and multinational languages where appropriate, as well as including graphics.
The Vijuk machine can produce larger outserts with greater compression, resulting in a small and compact finished product.
Sean Nolan, managing director of Pharmagraphics Guy, said: “The Vijuk folder enables us to deliver a higher value added solution to our existing and potential customers. We are now able to offer multi-paneled folded glued leaflets. These can be folded right down to the size of a matchbox without compromising on production timescales. Using this new Vujuk technology we are also accessing higher machine speeds and state of the art technologies efficiencies.
“Our new investment is the latest addition to our already impressive range of folding equipment, which has helped make us one of the leading names in pharmaceutical packaging. Customer reactions are very positive to this is efficient and effective solution to expanding information disclosure requirements. ”
With the largest folding capability and range of specialist folding machines in Ireland and as a fully licensed manufacturer, Pharmagraphics Guy can ship patented outsert products globally without restriction.
